SOMMER’S – TANGY BLONDE ALE
Sommer’s is a tangy and refreshing summer beer that was brewed with 25% local corn from the Linth region for a light body. The beer was kettle-soured to create a lemony, spritzy tanginess.
Some extra info for the beer enthusiasts:
During the kettle souring process lactic acid producing bacteria (Lactobacillus plantarum) is added to the unboiled wort and left overnight for lactic acid production. Afterwards the brewing procedure continues as usual. The wort is boiled, neutralizing the bacteria but the lactic acid remains for a fruity, tangy flavor.
